Meeting Schedule

The meetings are free, although donations are welcome.


There are two sessions offered every Monday:

Chenrezig Sadhana* 6:10 – 6:50 pm

Meditation and Study Group meeting 7:00 – 8:00 pm. The format is:

7:00 - 7:10 pm Opening prayers/Meditation (calm abiding**)
7:10 - 7:50 pm Study and discussion
7:50 - 8:00 pm Closing Prayer


*The sadhana of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara, Skt.) is a chanting meditation practice focused on the buddha of loving-kindnessa and compassion. Performing the Chenrezig Sadhana helps us to increase these qualities in ourselves towards all sentient beings.

*If you are not familiar with the sadhana it is recommended, but not required, that you speak to someone in our group beforehand in order to be given an explanation of the practice.

Since in a group practice there is a need for coordinated chanting, and out of respect for the tradition from which we have received this practice, we chant in Tibetan using a text transliterated into our alphabet. The text, however, offers an English translation for the benefit of participants and their understanding of the content.

Wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for sitting on the floor. You may bring your own meditation cushion, or use one that we provide. There are also chairs for sitting.

Shoes are left at the entrance to the meditation room.
